Consider Me Southern, known as Dalton, is a 2020 bay stallion by Its A Southern Thing out of Consider Me Best (USA-5350178), bred by J R & Melissa Cook. He carries a deep Quarter Horse pedigree tracing through Invitation Only, Zippo By Moonlight, RL Best of Sudden, and Sweet Talkin Chip, with strong representation of the foundational Zippo Pine Bar and A Sudden Impulse lines on both sides. Dalton built his early show record in Australia under Natasha Humphries, competing extensively in Western Pleasure across the NPHA, Queensland State Show, NSW State Show, Tropicana Classic, and the AQHA National Championships through 2023 and 2024. His standout Australian result came at the Q24 National Championships, where he won the Western Pleasure (AAAA grade) for 8.0 points. He is currently standing in the United States, leased to Casey and Deanna Willis of Casey Willis Show Horses LLC, Mechanicsburg, PA, with ownership remaining with Natasha Humphries. The 2026 show circuit has seen Dalton competing at major US venues including the Kentucky Horse Park, where he and Deanna Willis were Circuit Champions in the Level 2 Amateur Horsemanship at The Premier, while Dalton and Casey Willis were Reserve Champions in the Performance Western Pleasure Stakes at the same show.
