EB S Ironbark demonstrated a high level of consistency throughout his cutting career, regularly progressing to the finals of the aged events he contested. His record of finalling in four of five futurities and three of five derbies, together with a Futurity Championship and Reserve Open Derby title, shows a horse capable of maintaining competitive form across multiple events rather than relying on a single standout performance. His later success in campdrafting adds another dimension to that record. Winning a Novice campdraft and placing in Open competition after transitioning from cutting demonstrates that his ability extended beyond the controlled environment of the cutting pen. It points to the cattle sense, trainability and adaptability required to perform across distinctly different cattle disciplines. Although his competitive career was shortened by injury, Ironbark's results across both cutting and campdrafting provide evidence of a versatile performance horse with sustained competitive ability, rather than simply a specialist cutting stallion.

EB S Ironbark (Q-77700) is an Australian-bred Quarter Horse stallion whose record combines proven cutting ability, practical cattle-horse versatility and an increasingly accomplished performance progeny record. By influential sire Acres Destiny (Imp) and out of Mia Cdee, by Bank Fulo Cdees (Imp), his pedigree brings together Bob Acre Doc, CD Olena and Doc’s Spinifex bloodlines. Trained and shown in cutting by Grant Quigley, Ironbark established himself early as a consistent aged-event competitor. He was the Cotton Country Futurity Champion, finalled in four of five futurities during his futurity season, and subsequently finalled in three of five derbies. His Derby-year results included Reserve Champion in the Darling Downs Open Derby and sixth in the NCHA Open Derby. His recorded lifetime earnings are $26,828. Ironbark's career then took a distinctly Australian direction when owners Martin and Rose-Ann Myors brought him home to work cattle and transition into campdrafting. Despite relatively few competition starts, he proved equally capable outside the cutting pen, highlighted by winning the 2019 Warrego Novice Campdraft and placing second in the Bedourie Open, alongside further Novice placings at Noccundra and Windorah. His competition career was unfortunately curtailed by a paddock injury at the end of 2019. His influence has continued through his progeny, which are demonstrating the same cross-discipline versatility. Nine Iron has been successful in cutting, including winning the 2025 Q25 $15,000 Novice Cutting; Dara Previews Iron Lady progressed from cutting futurity competition to multiple campdraft futurity wins; G Iman Ironbark has recorded Maiden, Novice and Open campdraft victories; and Ourimbah Treasure has achieved championship success in reined cow horse competition. Other progeny have performed across cutting, campdrafting and cow horse events, giving Ironbark a growing record as a sire of competitive cattle horses rather than one confined to a single discipline. EB S Ironbark represents a particularly Australian combination of cutting genetics and working cattle-horse performance—proven in the cutting pen, successful in the campdraft arena, and now supported by progeny performing across multiple disciplines.
