Performance
Yulgilbar Duck N Down has established an exceptional and enduring career in Australian campdrafting, competing successfully at major events across more than a decade. After beginning his performance career in cutting, he transitioned to campdrafting and developed into a successful Open and Stallion Draft competitor. His major achievements include winning the 2018 Paradise Lagoons Stallion Draft, finishing runner-up in the 2019 Chinchilla Grandfather Clock Open Draft and Warwick Stallion Draft, and finishing equal second in the 2021 Warwick Gold Cup with scores of 90, 90 and 89. He was also Runner-up ACA Horse of the Year for the 2021/22 season. In 2023, Duck N Down was recognised as the AQHA Highest Placed Open Horse in conjunction with the Australian Campdraft Association End of Year Awards, and continued his success by winning the 2024 Beaudesert Stallion Draft. His longevity was further demonstrated in 2026 when, at 15 years of age, he won the Nutrien Young Guns Campdraft with Jessica Spoor, while also placing in the Nutrien Open and Ladies events.
